Mickey Mouse’s Virtual Train Tour
Did you know that Walt Disney loved trains? He released numerous train themed shows, toys and more beginning with Mickey’s Choo-Choo (an animated Mickey Mouse short) in 1928.
To celebrate Walt's love of trains, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse will have a special episode titled Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Choo Choo Express on Sunday, October 25 (7:00-7:45 p.m., ET/PT) on the Disney Channel.
As a special promotion for the episode, Disney has created a unique traveling art exhibit that pays homage to Wald Disney's lifelong love of trains. The train departs from Kansas City, MO (Walt's hometown) and will make it's way through the Rocky Mountains, to the Grand Canyon, through Hollywood, and finally, to Los Angeles’ Union Station, where he will arrive to Travel Town Railroad Museum in time for a viewing party with local preschoolers to celebrate the premiere of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Choo Choo Express.
You can track Mickey's travels online on You Tube's Disney Living channel or on Twitter.
Disney is also releasing the exclusive Fisher Price Mickey's Magic Choo Choo to celebrate the special episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. You can purchase it for $39.99 on Amazon.
