Big Budget Buster
One of the biggest budget busters at Disney is the cost of a stroller rental. A single stroller is $15 a day, but a double stroller is $31 a day. If you are staying for 7 nights and planning to rent a double, that's an astronomical total of $217! A single stroller is $105.
Some ideas (besides the obvious of bringing your own)
1. Stop by Walmart and buy a cheap umbrella stroller. You can toss it at the end of your trip if you can't transport it. (Donating it would be better, ask at the front desk)
2. Go online and chose a good single or double stroller. For a single I recommend Jeep Wrangler All-Weather Umbrella Stroller in Fierce and for a double I recommend Jeep Wrangler Twin Sport All-Weather Umbrella Stroller in Fierce. You can ship items to your Disney resort in your name 2 weeks before you are due to check in. Disney will also help you ship them home. It's a great service.
3. Visit the budget board on Disboards.com and sign up for a stroller swap if one is available. A stroller swap is where one person has left a stroller in baggage claim at a Disney hotel and people sign up to 'borrow' it and are given access to the stroller for a week. Just have a back up plan in case the stroller gets damaged, lost or stolen. You never know with swaps.
